For the first time during Tasting Australia, Rundle Mall will be hosting the Urban Pantry. Running from Saturday the 29^th of April to Sunday the 7^th of May, the Urban Pantry will be the ultimate foodie heaven located right in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD. Below, we’ve devised eight reasons why you just have to check it out:

Whether you’re on lunch break in the city or coming in to exercise the credit card, Rundle Mall is the central city hub for all your food and shopping needs. In a location so accessible, there’s really no excuse not to visit the Urban Pantry at least once!

Foodies will thrive on the chance to meet the talent behind the genius. Every day, you will get the chance to chat with Jarrad Sharrock, owner of Monday’s Coffee, about his locally roasted origin coffee. Or maybe you’ll pop in for one of the scheduled ‘Meet the Producers’ sessions, getting the chance to sit in on live Q&A with the likes of Taras Ochota (Winemaker from Ochota Barrels), Paul Baker (Chef from Botanic Gardens Restaurant), Duncan Welgemoed (Chef from Africola) and so many more talented locals.

Only the smelliest and most delicious of cheeses will be up for tasting – picture a melt-in-your-mouth Heysen Blue by Udder Delights. Are you vegetarian/vegan/gluten free? Never fret, Mojo Kombucha will provide the goods. Perhaps you’re down for some unique sodas from Two Bit Villains or some sweet, organic honey from Kangaroo Island Living Honey. Beerenberg is also one to note, sampling their newest range of sweet and savoury spreads: Sweet Mustard Pickle and Lemon & Lime Curd.

Attention all of you South Australian wine lovers: the Urban Pantry Cellar Door,  proudly presented by The Propaganda Club, will be featuring an array of iconic local brands as well as some newbies to the industry.

Expect to experience free beer, wine and spirit tastings by the day. Don’t forget to have a chat with the knowledgeable Propaganda Club staff and maybe even try some of their very own aged cocktails on offer!
