A touch of Cuba at Havana Club

Grab those dancing shoes folks, because a Cuban inspired bar, Havana Club, is the latest space to open in Adelaide’s CBD.

To find Havana Club you must first venture downstairs into Adelaide’s late night dining spot, the Propaganda Club and walk to the end of their luxurious bar and dining area. From there you will spot more stairs on the right hand side which will lead you up to your destination.

Sticks of burning incense greet you as you walk up the stairs into the bright and colourful laneway. The pastel wooden wall panels, mini palm trees and outdoor lounge seating give off a distinct, chilled-out 1950s Miami feel.

The Instagram worthy space offers a range of beer, wine and spirits along with two refreshing, rum-heavy cocktails. Choose between the cool and minty Cucumber Mojito and the zesty Cuban Ginger, or order both if you can’t decide (I did).

Havana Lane is open from 4pm Tuesday, Friday and Saturday and although it closes at 3am, the Propaganda Club will remain open to ensure you don’t leave with an empty stomach.

You can find Havana Club at Regent Arcade, 110 Grenfell St, Adelaide.
