It’s time to bring the irresistible and downright desirable glamour of interstate racing parties to our very own hometown, the understated Adelaide. Now, Morphettville Racecourse is set to be the hub of all things fabulous this spring racing season, complete with a number of themed days and exclusive trackside locations you’ll simply be dying to check out.
Last week, selected guests were invited to Adelaide’s slick boutique hotel, the Mayfair, to launch spring racing at Morphettville. The celebrations were held on the Mayfair Hennessy Rooftop Bar, where guests mixed and mingled under sparkling chandeliers, devouring mountains of oysters, fresh sushi and endless champagne.

Guests were informed of what is to be expected this racing season, with styling playing a key role at Morphettville this year. Extending right through from the hospitality precincts located at the racecourse to the fashion flaunted by Morphettville’s most stylish guests, aesthetic will hold a level of class in which will truly exceed that of previous years. The gorgeous face of our spring racing season, Olivia Rogers, expresses her excitement for the revitalisation of Morphettville as she states: “The races are such a unique experience, unlike anything else you can do in Adelaide.”

Caulfield Cup Day is dedicated to the ladies, featuring romantic, feminine styles where dainty spring fashion is at the forefront. Following ladies day will be Cox Plate, one for the gentlemen of Adelaide. Here, dapper style, sleek suits and trendy menswear will rule the racecourse. Victoria Derby Day will see monochrome play a part in Morphettville’s spring racing season, with sophisticated outfits of black and white filling the stands.
And, of course, Melbourne Cup Day is the pinnacle of Australian racing; race-goers are invited to attend Morphettville to celebrate the occasion, encouraged to dress to the nines and prepare to immerse themselves in a frivolous, champagne-filled day.
