Be A Star at the Make-A-Wish Gala Ball

Every year the Make-A-Wish Foundation holds its annual Gala Ball, a wonderful charity event with an amazing cause behind it. Held on Saturday the 30th of April at the Adelaide Convention Centre, The Make-A-Wish Foundation will also be celebrating it’s 30th birthday and 30 years of granting wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The idea of a ball does sound very fabulous. Not only will guests have the excuse to dress in a lovely evening gown, they will also be treated to a gourmet three course meal, unlimited drinks, live entertainment and more. Tickets are on sale now at $185 and each ticket holder goes into the raffle to win return airfares and accommodation for two in London courtesy of Emirates!

Chair of the Make-A-Wish Gala committee Christine Mossop says each year the Adelaide branch of Make-A-Wish Foundation alone grants 40 wishes, and Australia-wide grants about 400 in total. With each wish costing approximately $6000, the annual ball is one of the main financial contributors to the foundation each year.

“Make-A-Wish has responded to over 8,000 wishes nationally, with 800 of them granted courtesy of the Adelaide Branch since May 1986. The gala ball is our leading fundraising event which enables us to fund valuable wishes to help seriously ill children fulfil their dreams.” says Christine Mossop.

After a sell-out event in 2015, this years gala expects around 700 guests, including VIPs, socialites and media, and hopes to raise over $180,000, or 35 wishes, for Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Tickets can be purchased through emailing tickets@wishgalaball.com or calling 0416 322 603.
