To celebrate their 25 years in business, iconic beauty brand 1000 Hour held a fabulous garden party at Madame Brussels Cocktail Rooftop Bar in Melbourne last Thursday.
We packed our bags and flew in for the evening, arriving at the celebration with our fellow fashion blogger friend Le Blonde Fox. Instantly greeted by a smiling face and a delicious berry cocktail, we felt at home in the quaint Madame Brussels.
A dainty fitout consisting of pastel pink walls, faux grass lawns, cobblestone pathways and cast iron outdoor furniture made for the ultimate garden party set-up. Seeking to add their own flair to the already gorgeous space, 1000 Hour set up a ’25 years’ media wall, a photoshoot station featuring a flattering ring light, a giant punchbowl and even a cake table, complete with floral decoration and a creamy, rose-clad cake. Fairy-tale vibes, much?
The night was hosted by former Miss Universe Australia and 1000 Hour Ambassador Tegan Martin who, on the night, announced her own mother Cherie Martin as part of the 25 year campaign. In light of the influencer-era where Insta bloggers and icons such as Kylie Jenner are today’s muses, it’s true that mums were really the first beauty influencers in our lives; this is a warming ideology that 1000 Hour has sought to expose through their partnership with Cherie and Tegan.
“I remember as a teenager my mum and I dying each others lashes and brows, it was part of our special pamper afternoons,” explains Tegan, “And, doing this shoot with her was so special too – plus so much fun. Doesn’t she look amazing?”
The 1000 Hour Eyelash and Brow Dye Kit was the first product in the range and, across the 25 years, the range has expanded to include all sorts of other DIY beauty products. This includes the likes of artificial lashes, hair colour mascaras, sticks and powders, instant brow mascara and utensils designed to help enhance your natural beauty.
1000 Hour is available for purchase from Priceline, Woolworths, Coles and independnt pharmacies/specialist stores nationally. For more information or to buy online, follow the link here.
