Bickford’s 23rd Street Distillery Launch

South Australia’s Bickford’s Group has just opened a $6.6 million premium distillery in SA’s Riverland, giving us all a new and exciting reason to check out the region.

The official launch of 23rd Street Distillery took place in Rundle Mall’s Gawler Place, attracting a crowd of Adelaide’s media and relevant stakeholders who came to join in the fabulous celebrations.

Catering saw everyone well and truly stuffed on the night, offering up a number of delectable canape choices such as tender beef sticks with shaved parmesan, seasoned prawns, citrus-y oysters, cheeseburger sliders and so many more incredible tasting plates.

Alongside flowing drinks and food, a live body-painting art installation was on display, artfully presented by the ever so lovely Mandy of Mandy Nash Makeup.

The distillery itself is located on a rejuvenated century-old Renmano site and takes its name from its location on the town’s 23rd street.

“More than 30,000 viitors are expected to visit the distillery each year,” State Tourism Minister Leon Bignell states, “And in another win-win for the local community, the distillery will be sourcing local ingredients from local producers wherever possible.”
