Warm and Wonderful: Black Lime Expands their Products

“The fireplaces are available in Melbourne, but they’re not showcased here in Adelaide, so our main drive is to bring Tait furniture from Melbourne and fireplaces from Europe to this environment so people in Adelaide can get access to these amazing products," says Black Lime Showcase Manager, Jahnava Taylor.

Last Thursday night, Black Lime held a winter warmer event to showcase their growing collection of furniture, introducing stunning new European fireplaces from Oblica just in time for the cooler seasons.

The aesthetic warehouse design staged minimalist features in a big, white room with plants dangling off the walls. Though the space was vast and open, the scattered fireplaces made the area feel warm and welcoming.

To the centre of the room sat an immaculate display of cheeses, fruit, cold meats and chocolate spread across a long table; a purely indulgent setting for this night of gathering.

The night’s theme evoked a sense of sitting around a fireplace with good food, good wine and good company, which is a vibe that fits suitably to the designs of the new fireplaces, brought over by Melbourne’s Oblica managing director, Simon Guyon.

Mr Guyon’s aim of expanding his designs is to portray fireplaces as furniture, like they do back at his home in Europe. He’s very happy to be working with Black Lime and developing his brand in innovative ways into the Australian market.

Black Lime Showcase Manager, Jahnava Taylor, says by having the store located close to the city, it is more accessible and exposed to people wanting to explore new design options.

“The aim is to bring designer pieces into a unique studio environment,” says Jahnava.

Black Lime also do landscape design, their aim being to fuse together the exterior and interior aspects of living into one in a way that works effortlessly and comfortably.

The atmosphere of the night was vivacious and offered an opportunity to admire understated furniture and unique, modern fireplaces.

The store is currently having a showroom clearance sale, located at 18 Chapel Street, Norwood.
