Carl Cox and Eric Powell’s Mobile Disco returns to McLaren in 2017

Get in quick – tickets to Carl Cox and Eric Powell’s Mobile Disco will go on sale tomorrow, Friday the 5th of May at 9am.

The mobile disco received stellar reviews last year after its inaugural event in McLaren Vale sold out within 24 hours.

This year the boys will be joined by British acid band Incognito as they play some of the best soul, funk, disco and house tunes. While fans now know what to expect from the disco, Powell and Cox said this year’s set will include some personal tracks that they grew up with and that inspired their musical journeys.

Incognito frontman Jean-Paul ‘Bluey’ Maunick will be joined by an epic ensemble of band members for a set that will feature some of Incognito’s classic tracks including ‘Always There’, ‘Nights Over Egypt’, ‘Talkin’ Loud’, and ‘Parisienne Girl’.

Describing last year’s crowd as “one of the best going around”, Powell said he was looking forward to bringing the event back to South Australia.

“The response we received in Adelaide last year was overwhelming,” he said.

“We had nothing but positive feedback about the day, with the crowd waiting and hoping that we come back to do it all over again. Well I have good news; we are coming back, and this time we’ll be joined by the legendary British acid jazz band Incognito.”

Incognito have recorded sixteen studio albums over a thirty-five-year period.

If last year’s sales are anything to go by, we’d recommend you sit on the Moshtix website waiting until the clock ticks over at 9am if you’re hoping to secure a ticket!
