casper&pearl ‘Abracadabra’ Launch

Held at the historic Grand Lodge of Freemasons on North Terrace, casper&pearl’s new collection was previewed to an eager, extremely well-dressed crowd among live music, canapes and wine.

After the roaring success of casper&pearl’s previous collection ‘Hola Lola’, the Adelaidian was waiting excitedly to see what the local label was going to do next. The magical collection, inspired by witch trials and 90s witchcraft shows, was aptly titled ‘Abracadabra’ and packed full of moody blacks and emeralds, boxy coats and structured culottes.

The colour scheme was bordering on muted Autumn hues but included some bright red pieces, perfect for the end of summer. It wouldn’t be a casper&pearl collection without at least one signature print, and this seasons green leaf dotted with rich pink flowers makes for the perfect sunny day palette. Available in a range of cuts ranging from culottes, bralettes and skirts?, this collection’s print is versatile enough for anyone to incorporate into their summer wardrobe.

The Grand Lodge of Freemasons was a beautiful venue to host the show, with high ceilings, wood floors and old masonry. The girls from AZALEA Models walked up and down the varnished floors in between two aisles of guests against a backdrop of fresh green leaves and flowers woven through a lattice. Local singer and guitarist Alice Haddy serenaded guests with her melodic voice while Hemera Estate filled guests with wine and warmth.

Our favourite pieces from ‘Abracadabra’ would easily be the printed culottes and the green coat. Worn together, these pieces would make the perfect autumn outfit! The collection will be available to purchase through the casper&pearl and selected boutiques from March.
