A Day at the Races ~ with a twist ~

Summer’s not over until the fat lady sings, or at least until The Catalina Co. brings Adelaide another trendy outdoor party. Following the incredible success of the 2015 Catalina Wine Mixer Trilogy, comes the debut of the Catalina Classic. Set to be held at this year’s Adelaide Cup on Monday 14 March at Morphettville Racecourse, this will be a public holiday worth celebrating.

Directors of the project, Marcus Capaldo and Daniel Koronis aim to put a new spin on race day, incorporating everyone’s favourite aspects with new and exciting twists. Like any good race day, top fashions and premium food and beverage will be prioritised, along with a “super chic garden inspired setting” and chilled summer beats.

If you were lucky enough to attend one of the Catalina Wine Mixers held within Lucky’s Beach Cub at the Maid Hotel then you may be able to envisage the kind of “must go-to” event this will be. The Catalina Classic includes access to a prime ground floor viewing area, as well as betting facilities, a  pamper station, entertainment from some of Adelaide’s best muso’s and of course quality food and drink.

Directors Marcus Capaldo and Daniel Koronis are nothing short of experts in the industry, both having been involved in the organisation of numerous major events. In 2015, Capaldo launched M One Eight, a marketing agency which has worked with clients including Lady Burra Brewhouse and the Adelaide 36ers. Koronis has over 20 years of experience in the Adelaide music scene and directs the company Entertainment Adelaide, so it’s fair to say the music won’t be a problem.

Tickets for this event start at $85 per person and are available online at thecatalinaco.com. Group VIP booth packages (for ten people) are also available for $2500.

The Tuesday work hangover will be well worth the fun.
