Now that the rain clouds have cleared, and the sun is tentatively peeking out from behind the clouds, Adelaidians are in need of some fresh spring style. Last Wednesday night, we attended Style Society’s Spring/Summer VIP Styling Night at their Norwood boutique to get some inspiration.
Adelaide stylist Cimon Vozzo took us through several of the season’s key looks, including fluted hems, bold sleeves, and cold shoulder dresses. Cimon gave us plenty of inspo for our spring racing looks.
“My favourite spring racing trend would be a blazer with pants. I love jumpsuits as well, but this season a blazer with pants, paired with block heels and a beautiful hat… you can’t go wrong!” she told The Adelaidian on Wednesday.
She says that her on-trend colours for spring are navy and light baby blues, but she is also a big fan of peachy pink at the moment as well.
“Peach colours are coming through, which is nice and feminine, and they would contrast well with a bold red lip.”
The Adelaide stylist suggested investing in silk scarves this season, which can be worn as waist-cinching belts or tied in your hair for a sophisticated boho look. You can even secure them to your favourite handbag for a pop of luxe colour.
Another of Cimon’s expert tips for spring was to choose items based on their versatility. She favours dresses that can be donned with heels and statement earrings for a day at the races, but can look equally exciting when paired down with a white t-shirt and runners for an everyday look.
Style Society boasts plenty of these adaptable pieces. We sipped on spritz and enjoyed perhaps too many cupcakes from The Buttercream Co while scouring the racks to uncover our own spring styles. Will we go for the vibrant florals from Cooper St, the dramatic sleeves from Bagira, or perhaps the lush faux fur from Everly?
The boutique is owned and managed by mother-daughter duo Betty Francesca and Deanna Condo. Since their launch earlier this year, the duo has focused on a fresh, fashion-forward collection for a variety of price ranges. The staff at Style Society are skilled in styling and can help you put together a fresh spring look that is uniquely your own.
We left the boutique on Wednesday night with our wallets a little lighter and spring style inspiration buzzing through our brains.
Style Society is located 57A Kensington Road, Norwood.
