Claymore Wines have partnered with one of the most celebrated footballers in Liverpool FC history, Ian Rush, who visited Adelaide to launch his Signature Series Shiraz at The Gallery during the 2016 Adelaide Fashion Festival.
“Rush is the first individual to be honoured on a Claymore Wines Signature Series label,” says Claymore general manager Carissa Major.
“A long and passionate history exists between Claymore Wines and the Liverpool Football Club.”
Claymore Wines has three previous releases of Liverpool FC wines. The 2013 YNWA ‘The Boot Room’ Shiraz, 2014 ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ Grenache Shiraz Mataro and the 2015 ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ Sauvignon Blanc.
The new Signature Series will be limited to just three barrels of Claymore’s ultra-premium, single vineyard 2013 vintage Shiraz from the award winning Penwortham vineyard, just south of Clare in the heart of Clare Valley.
Marnie Roberts, Claymore’s winemaker responsible for the latest Liverpool FC wine, has a world of experience working in leading wineries across Australia and the USA.
“The 1000 individually numbered bottles will be a very special investment for wine and sports lovers alike,” Says Roberts.
