Coopers Burger Shack

Coffee Central and Coopers Burger Shack have joined forces to create the ultimate relax and refresh zone right in the middle of Rundle Mall, bringing colour and life to your shopping experience.

Located between the Hotel Richmond and Kmart, the zone features a beer bar and seating area, closed in by a white picket fence and decorated with barrel tables and fake grass flooring.

They will be offering both dine-in and takeaway, serving up cakes and coffee alongside burgers and beers throughout the duration of the day.

The burger menu boasts a total of eight different burgers, including the likes of Wagyu beef, chicken, haloumi, sliders and vegetarian options, all with the opportunity for gluten free options at no extra cost.

With each burger, Coopers have paired one of their delightful beers to make choosing your beverage just that little bit simpler, whilst also enhancing your tasting experience. Coopers Burger Shack is also pouring the full range of beers from their South Australian brewery, making it a true local treat.

As major foodies, we decided it was our duty to pop in to Coffee Central and Coopers Burger Shack to try out some of the delicious burgers on offer, choosing the Thom’s Chicken Burger and Big Celebration Burger.

Thom’s Chicken offered mouthwatering yet surprisingly light fried chicken with lettuce, tomato, Spanish onion and paprika aioli. Its beverage pairing is a refreshing Thomas Coopers Artisan Reserve Pilsner at just $6.50 extra.

The Big Celebration Burger was certainly a celebration on the tastebuds, consisting of tender Wagyu beef patty, lettuce, tomato, Spanish onion, melted cheese, bacon, egg,  mustard and CBS chutney. Although a little messy at times, it was entirely worth the party in my mouth. Pair the Celebration with a Thomas Coopers Celebration Ale at just $20 and experience the full flavour infusion.

We’re also giving the chips a special mention seeing as they were some of the best chips we have tasted in a long while; the perfect amount of salt meets the perfect crunch.

We spoke with barista and head chef Dom Knight, who explained the Coffee Central/Coopers Burger Shack concept stating: “I’m a morning person, and that’s because I’m really passionate about making great coffee, but I’m also a qualified chef so I wanted to create a space where I can do both of the things that I love in the one place!”
