After travelling overseas to India and South East Asia, local designer Cristina Tridente of label couture + love + madness released a gorgeous new line of couture garments inspired by her recent travels. Hosting a launch for the ‘Lady Camellia’ Spring/Summer 2015/2016 range at her old high school in the Loreto College Gardens, Cristina’s intricate pieces were paraded gracefully down a magical garden runway by the beautiful ladies from Finesse Models Australia.

This year, Cristina became the first Australian to showcase at the fifteenth annual Qingdao International Fashion Festival and will be showcasing at the festival again next year, planning to debut her Lady Camellia collection overseas.
The line of couture clothing boasts a feminine selection of designs, featuring bold colours pink, red and white in rich fabrics, including lace and floral patterns. Each piece in the collection is truly unique, being hand-made and once-off available. The dresses, we believe, are perfect for weddings, milestone birthdays, red carpet awards and other highly special occasions.

Jewellery was handcrafted specially for the launch by local designer Simon Williams and headpieces designed by event stylists Bizarro, each of which were paired with dresses on the day to make for a statement look.
The day was delightful and relaxing as we gathered together to appreciate fashion with a refreshing wine in hand, some tasty dessert treats and suited music played by local DJ Filip With an F. As all good garden parties should, the celebrations continued afterwards at The Robin Hood Hotel with an official after party for launch attendees.
