Damn Baby! Alpine are coming to All You Can Eat!

Alpine Fat Controller Adelaide

Back by popular demand on Friday the 12th of August, Melbourne indie pop ensemble Alpine hit All You Can Eat at Fat Controller.

Still riding the tsunami of success generated by their sophomore studio album ‘Yuck’ released in 2015, the groovy troupe is hitting the road once more and bringing their larger-than-life live show back to our fair city.

‘Yuck’ peaked at #16 on the Australian charts and its singles ‘Damn Baby’, ‘Foolish’ and ‘Crunches’ have amassed almost four million combined streams on Spotify.

The album pokes fun at the trivial nature of ‘first-world problems’ as well as managing to radiate a deeper connection to its audience manifested as somewhat of a brutal honesty.

The band somehow manages to be jovial, cynical and confessional simultaneously.

Powered by funky basslines, catchy guitar riffs and the silky smooth vocals of frontwomen Phoebe Baker and Lou James, Alpine bring a unique twist to the indie pop sound.

Baker and James exude sass, confidence and class on stage, contributing to the group’s flamboyant yet wonderfully humble live presence.

All this vivacity is sure to have the Fat Man’s basement fit to burst; tickets are still available online, you’d be foolish (I couldn’t resist) to miss this one!
