You may have seen these cool little monogrammed accessories around, styled by the likes of Suicide Squad star Margot Robbie, Australian model Ashley Hart and many other well known personalities. Mon Purse is the name behind the game; an innately personalised design experience is what they offer.
How does it work, you ask? Well, the process is simple: Step into your local Mon Purse outlet or jump online, choose your preferred accessory whether that be an iPhone case, a bucket bag, a coin purse, a tote bag etc., choose your colour combo, select a monogram to stamp on and voila!, your very own customised leather accessory is ready for production!

Yesterday, we were kindly afforded the opportunity to design our own Mon Purse item in Myer Centre Adelaide, Rundle Mall. Our lovely assistant Paulina greeted us with a smile and a showcase of her own Mon Purse collection, one of which we became instantly envious of. She had all sorts of fun leather items stamped with her initials or full name, most of which came in a prestigious gold/black combination that we absolutely adored.

With a little research up our sleeves, we had somewhat of an idea about what we wanted to design at Mon Purse: a sleek and sophisticated tote bag. We thought our mini pre-study session would have helped us come to a decision easily on the day, but oh boy, were we wrong.
Picking our desired style of bag
The design combinations were essentially infinite, with the little things like changing the colour of the handles and metal embellishments totally throwing us off! It was overwhelming just how customisable our little tote bags were, right down to choosing the type of leather. It’s harder to choose between grainy leather, smooth leather, vegetable (!!) leather, ostrich emboss (!?) and suede leather than we thought!

On the topic of leather, each Mon Purse accessory is made using only the finest quality European leather, with the design actually being produced in Europe before being sent back to its designer in Australia or elsewhere. As stated on the Mon Purse website: “The European leather processing industry, where we source our beautiful leathers, utilises an environmentally friendly and modern production infrastructure, in accordance with high quality standards.”
If you’re a first timer, we definitely recommend heading in store to design your bag as opposed to hopping online, mainly because the colours can become skewed online depending on the screen of your computer, iPad or other technological device. The customer service in store is friendly and professional, and you get to actually see and feel the different kinds of leathers and styles available, which makes the entire experience all that more hands-on.
