Experiencing the new Jurlique flagship store and day spa

Upon stepping into the new Jurlique flagship store in Rundle Mall, you’ll notice a distinct architectural theme to the interior, with elegant archways and neutral, earthy tones that exude a ‘Mediterranean paradise’ vibe. The linear aspects and colour palette could have also been somewhat Egyptian-inspired; what better theme for a day spa and skincare outlet than that of the indulgent Egyptian era?

As long-time users of this local skincare brand, we could not have been more excited to visit the new Jurlique flagship for the first time last week. Having been invited in to experience their day spa – located just upstairs and above the retail space – we were certainly looking forward to having a little relaxation time. However, it really was the interior design that made this whole experience level up; nothing quite gets us more than an aesthetically designed space. It’s an instant calming factor.

After admiring our luxurious surroundings, we made our way to the spa room, which was of decent size and fit two spa beds side-by-side. This set-up is perfect for a romantic couple’s activity or time out with a best friend.

The ladies looking after us were undoubtedly knowledgeable about all things skin, examining our faces to determine the perfect products to use for each individual facial. Having noticed a little dryness, we were offered a range of moisture-inducing products including Advanced Serum, Skin Balancing Face Oil, Advanced Eye Serum, Water Essence and more. The facial left us feeling super hydrated, rejuvenated and totally relaxed, ready to take on a hectic working week.

We were directed down the sleek marble staircase and led into the back room where we were seated down at a table alongside our respective Jurlique representatives. The ladies showed us through the products they used on our skin without being pushy about purchase. What we do know is that it can be quite common for spas and skincare places to forcibly encourage you to buy their products, however the staff at Jurlique seem more concerned with sharing valuable information. We felt we took away some interesting pointers about the products and just generally about our own skin.

If you’re after skincare that uses natural ingredients, farms local and also smells absolutely divine, then Jurlique is definitely for you. We also recommend popping in for a spa treatment if you’re after some professional recommendations on what products to use, how to use them and in what order.

The Jurlique flagship is located 17A Rundle Mall, Adelaide, and is open 9am-6pm Monday through to Friday, 9am-5pm Saturday and 11am-5pm Sunday.
