It’s been a thriving two years for the Labels Style Markets at Plant 4 Bowden, however, it was only recently that we got the chance to check it out for ourselves for the first time. Last Sunday, the lovely Founder and Managing Director Katelyn Ellery invited us down to the Labels Style Markets runway to revel in some local fashion in-action.
Plant 4 as a venue is instantaneously aesthetic and eye-catching, being the perfect fit for a trendy marketplace such as the Labels Style Markets. An industrial and plant-laden fitout provides a somewhat magical setting for the bustling markets, and the multi-level, intricate interior ensures one can explore for a length of time without seeing the same stall twice.

Upon entering, were thoroughly impressed at the lively atmosphere of the venue. Friends, families and partners alike buzzed with excitement as they zig-zagged through the many food and fashion stalls, picking up quaint gifts, delicious treats and hidden treasures along the way. This contagious vibing energy continued through to the runway, with crowds amassing from every corner of the venue to watch the models from Diamonds Models and Promotions parade down the catwalk.
Notable up and coming local labels such as Frio the Label and Sindecisive graced the runway, boasting bold ostrich feather jackets and ruffled two-piece skirt and crop sets. We found ourselves rushing to the Sindecisive stall after the show to grab one of those versatile sheer maxis; it is the perfect item for layering, particularly over jeans and skirts for this winter.
Lucid8 Unisex Apparel rocked cutting-edge streetwear, which was a nice contrast to the more feminine styles we were seeing on the runway. The styling was seriously on point, layering bold-coloured jumpers and scarves over skirts and trackies. We’re really loving the effortlessly chic street look right now.
More loved SA labels showcased on the runway were Paige Rowe, Free at Heart, Glamour House, The Style Capsule, Bridge Street Boutique, Glami-Glam, Mazz Prints, NAMOI designs, Miss Dressy Evening Wear and Pair Your Soles.
