Adelaide is a city full of well-kept secrets, and that’s what makes it such a fun place to explore.

Ten minutes from the CBD you can find yourself in Stepney, a suburb full of foodie gems waiting to be discovered.

Salvatore Pepe, chef and owner of Pepe Cecina Restaurant knows this all too well, and had worked together with the City of Norwood, Payneham and St Peters to create a brand new publication, Secrets of Stepney.

As well as fun recipes, historical facts and personal quotes from the people who make this suburb such a rich community, you can learn about some of the businesses that call Stepney home.

Little Bang Brewery are well-known throughout the craft beer industry in Australia, and if you’re yet to try some of their creatively-named beers then you’re in for a real treat. Head to their brewery Thursday to Sunday and relax in their retro game lounge, taste some delicious bevvies and learn a thing or two with brewers Fil and Ryan.

The oldest coffee roasting house in SA, Rio Coffee have been hand-roasting specialty coffee for 53 years. Their shopfront in Stepney contains loads of local goodies, everything from food, gifts and, of course, coffee. Here you can enjoy a coffee and an afternoon snack while perusing through the brand new Secrets of Stepney publication.
