Happening on Saturday the 14th of November, Handpicked Festival Event Manager Kate Cooper expresses her excitement in the lead up.

“We are beyond excited to have such amazing Australian artists, whom have international status, playing at this year’s Handpicked Festival,” says Cooper.

Headlining the festival are Australian artists who need little introduction. From Birds of Tokyo with their atmospheric, post rock cues to the suave sounds of Conrad Sewell, Handpicked Festival promises to cater for all music appetites.

Adelaide’s own home-grown talent has not been neglected in the already impressive line-up. The stage will also host Adelaide’s own Timberwolf, Germein Sisters, Paige Renee Court and Indiago.

Each artist will bring their own style to the stage. Timberwolf oozes music with an indie folk sound that has been played around Australian in his sold out shows, while the sibling trio, the Germein Sisters, will showcase a unique indie pop sound that they developed as kids jamming in the Adelaide Hills bushland.

Handpicked Festival also ran a competition that saw people vote for who they would like to play at this year’s festival. Around 10,000 festival-goers voted, and the deserving Panee Courige Ret and Indiago were announced as this year’s winners.

The addition of these artists brings even more diversity to the line-up. Paige Renee Court, a singer/songwriter inspired by the alternative/folk-jazz genre, is about to head off on her first international tour and has been receiving rave reviews from all around Australia. Similarly, Indiago are experiencing equally exciting recognition. Indiago bring a unique, alternate rock sound to Australia with their high energy and captivating live shows. After the successful release of their self-titled EP, Indiago have gone from strength to strength and are about to embark on a national tour.

“It’s not every day these talented musicians play in regional South Australia,” says Cooper, “These acts will really help put Lake Breeze Winery and Langhorne Creek on the map.”

“From the young festival-goer who is desperate to see the hottest musical talent Australia has to offer, through to family groups who are looking for a relaxed and enjoyable day out, the Handpicked Festival is suitable for all age groups and people of all music tastes.”

Just fifty minutes out of the Adelaide CBD, the 2015 Handpicked Festival is jam packed with everything you need to guarantee a fun day out and is definitely worth getting out of bed for!
