Hans: Mein Camp takes over our world

In this time of political crisis, Hans has decided that he is the one man who has what it takes to turn this world around. As he struts onto stage, sparkling, fabulous and flanked by two amazing backup dancers, we can’t help but think maybe he’s right.

Combining iconic songs with political references, Hans sings us the classics like Britney Spear‘s ‘Hitler Baby One More Time’ and rewrites Dolly Parton‘s ‘Jolene’ to create ‘Pauline’, a tribute to the politician we all love to hate, Pauline Hanson.

The ever so glitzy Hans manages to combine femininity and masculinity to create the super figure that he is, clad in sequins, playing the accordion and singing Kylie Minogue. Completing his character with a hilariously terrible German accent and a witty, sarcastic sense of humour, you can’t help but fall in love with this dictator-dressed-in-drag.

Hans doesn’t forget to get the audience involved, calling upon two  lucky young fellas to join him onstage at one point in the show. After sending the two backstage to get a little costume touch-up, throwing on fabulous sequined vests and what not, Hans has the two parading down the stage like supermodels on a catwalk, which has the audience in hysterics. He doesn’t let the boys leave without attempting to steal a cheeky kiss, too!

Let’s face it, Hans really does have what it takes to be our leader (well more so than Trump, anyway) as his musical talent, comedic genius and brazen demeanor prove that he is one true multi-talent of our time. Hans is the hero that we need, but not the one we deserve!

We rate: ★★★★ 4/5 stars
