On Thursday night, we stepped into a room full of dreamy Insta-goodness at the Spendless Shoes Party with Lenzo event. The room – which once was the old and beloved Little Miss Dive Shop – had been dramatically transformed into an Instagram wonderland filled with pastel pink balloons, glittering confetti poppers, a never-ending food table and six incredible, location-themed themed stations.
The idea was to get snapping in the range of shoes available to shoot to promote the new Spendless range, with a number of fun accessories and clothing items to pair with the shoes. We were to shoot our outfits styled to suit one of the six stations: NYC, Santorini, the desert, Garden Party, Spring Racing and Wedding. Upon arrival, we were shown to the super cute Passport Office where we picked up a ‘passport’ each, outlining the comp rules and tags for each location.
Together with Noora of NKM Images, we got shooting in two different pairs of shoes: the Walkey White sneakers and Heidi Rose Gold heels. Our looks were shot at the Spring Racing and Summer in Santorini locations, sticking with the SS17 new romantics trend of ruffles, warm tones of pink and red, flowy dresses and floral embellishments/embroidery. We picked out a number of standout couture+love+madness dresses, while playing around with some lush fur pieces from Frio The Label and headwear from Sylvy Earl.
In between shoots, we spent most of our time diving into the goodies at the food table, choosing from an array of brownie cupcakes, gourmet antipasto, chicken taco canapes, colourful cookies and even fresh poke bowls topped with diced raw tuna. Pretty pink cocktails were aplenty too, adding to the unapologetically frivolous atmosphere of the event; decorated G&Ts and bright pink slushie martinis were among the beverages on offer.
