Glitz and Glamour at Miss World SA

Over the weekend, we got the chance to take part in judging the South Australian State Final of Miss World Australia held at Stamford Plaza, whereby two lucky local ladies took home the title of ‘Miss World SA State Finalist’.

Winners Sophie Ludbrook and Hish Cee will be heading to the Miss World Australia Top 30 finals, competing for an all-expenses paid luxury holiday to the tropical paradise and cultural hub that is Thailand, travelling with Amazing Thailand.

The Miss World winner will also receive a breathtaking crown valued at a massive $40,000 from Phuket Pearls. Can someone say dream come true?!

Among the gorgeous girls was Australia’s very first contestant in a wheelchair to compete in a Miss World pageant, the stunning Justine Clark. With so many beautiful, intelligent and caring girls competing, it was truly hard for us to judge this one.

As the foundations of Miss World embodying ‘beauty with a purpose’, the pageant works closely with children’s charity Variety Australia in a bid to raise money and help better the lives of sick, disadvantaged and disabled children around the country. Keeping this in mind, we were sure not only to judge solely on looks, but on the girls’ kindness and intentions as well.

Scroll up to view our gallery of the day (and to envy all the amazing dresses)!
