For the last three years, The Longest Table has helped raise money for cancer research conducted locally in our town of Adelaide.
Two of SA’s most passionate foodies, Bree May and Dougal McFuzzlebutt, are hosting their own Longest Table on June 20th supported by a number of local businesses.
Bree May, who was last year’s My Kitchen Rules champion and also a current ambassador for Longest Table, is proud to be using her amazing cooking skills to help raise money for cancer.
“I dream of a world without this terrible disease, and by getting involved in The Longest Table and using my love of cooking, I feel like I am making a difference,” said Bree.
Joining Bree is Dougal McFuzzlebutt, the mind behind McFuzzlebutt’s Manchen, who says the event is not only about raising money for cancer research, but also supporting local produce.
“This is an opportunity to help raise funds valuable cancer research which could save lives. Sometimes we need an excuse to have a dinner party, so why not make it for a worthwhile cause,” he said.
Together, Bree and Dougal have put together the ultimate three-course ‘dude food’ meal held at The Big Shed Brewing Co, featuring dishes like Buffalo Wings with Blue Cheese Sauce, Fleurieu Prime Alpaca and Cedar Plank Huon Salmon.
Twenty-one businesses have gotten behind this amazing cause to help out Bree and Dougal, including Cos Restaurant, Uber, Steve the Bartender and Chocolat by Daniela.
Though half the tickets are already gone, there a still a number available in both the VIP and general dining experience. $125 will get you Dougal’s ‘Dude Food Dining Experience’, where you will receive a three course meal and beverage package. $185 will purchase you all that, plus a seat at Bree’s Ultimate ‘Dude Food Dining Experience’ table, where you will receive a number of benefits like private Uber to and from the event, dining with VIP guests and a meet and greet with the hosts.
100% of the money for the ticket will be donated to #forkcancer, thanks to the generosity of the sponsors providing all food and drinks.
