KIK Coffee: Improving the lives of disadvantaged youths one coffee at a time

After the success of their first store having launched in Tea Tree Gully last year, KIK Coffee is now expanding reach to Adelaide’s city centre in the hopes of spreading their charitable services further.

A central location at 9 Light Square means KIK Coffee are now very conveniently located a mere minute walk away from UniSA’s City West campus. We have no doubt university-goers will live for the ‘$2 toastie with any regular hot drink’ deal!

This youth social entrepreneurship business is not only serving up delicious and affordable goods for the go; the whole project was initiated by chief executive Louise Nobes as a means of helping disadvantaged teens in the northern suburbs.

Youth suffering from family violence, homelessness, depression, unemployment and other disadvantages have been able to make a difference in their lives working for KIK Coffee. The shop is both designed by disadvantaged youth and staffed by disadvantaged youth (and they do a damn well good job at it).

Can't say no to a toastie or five.
