This week in Melbourne we attended the always glamorous launch of the Fashion+Aid Gala Ball at Bond Lounge, joining an array of celebrities and selected guests for a night of celebration.
The milestone 10 year anniversary of Fashion+Aid is a reason to celebrate in its own, let alone its exciting partnership with Australia’s luxury department store Harrolds this year. Gliding down the stairs and into a glitzy arena of buzzing guests and champagne on the flow, we knew we’d stepped into a party not to miss.
Red carpet arrivals commenced at 6:30pm, with plenty of canapes and refreshments making their way around the room shortly thereafter. Mid-evening, we heard from the man himself – Dave Hughes – who is set to host this year’s Fashion+Aid, bringing his charismatic and comedic flair to the stage.
Bond Lounge provided the perfect setting for the night, with its truly extra fitout combining of sleek neon pipe-lining, cosy booth seating and a lavish dance-floor. And yes, the d-floor did indeed become our stage later on in the night when all those drinks started to hit.
The Fashion+Aid Gala Ball will take place on Saturday the 9th of September at the luxe Palladium at Crown. With Harrolds involved, guests will be treated to a showcase of some of the world’s finest designers including the likes of Alexander McQueem, Balmain, Tom Ford, Comme des Garçons, Givenchy, Balenciaga, Valentino, Kenzo, Victoria Beckham and more. The night will see an amalgamation of fashion, music and entertainment come harmoniously together alongside a most decadent three-course dining experience. Seriously, have we got you dying to go yet?
We always have the best time at the launch of Fashion+Aid; a huge thank you to Helen Reizer and Caleb Yorke for inviting us down! All the information and ticket links can be found through the Facebook event here.
