Liza Emanuele and Peter Shearer A/W15 Fashion Show

Liza Emanuele previewed her Autumn/Winter 2015 collection in her hometown of Adelaide as part of the Made in SA exhibition, and it was more entertaining than a new episode of Real Housewives. The show featured a large variety of looks categorised into different styles, from lifestyle to bridal and even the Clipsal Grid Girl promo outfits designed by Emanuele herself. The men from Finesse walked some amazing Peter Shearer designs down the runway,  with some adorably preppy outfits on display.

For A/W15, Liza Emanuele had some pretty wearable designs. The workwear was all very flattering, streamlines skirts and fitted dresses in varying shades of grey, black and white were on offer. For casual wear, shades of navy and white with overlays of lace, where as evening-wear had hues of bright pinks and blues bursting through. Bridal wear was bursting with layers of tulle and lace and gorgeous traditional silhouettes like a-line and mermaid were prevalent. A gorgeous lace two-piece stole our attention though, with a full, flowing skirt topped with a cheeky lace crop fit for a very stylish bride.

Menswear from Peter Shearer was extremely sophisticated, with sweaters, scarves and well-cut suits appearing down the runway. Traditional autumn colours like greys, maroons, deep blues and greens were used as well as the traditional black for a go-to winter staple.

To liven the catwalk up, dancers from Pure Funk Dance performed choreographed routines to popular music like ‘Uptown Funk’ by Mark Ronson, and there were some adorable children who danced in animal onesies and ran around in Adelaide Crows and Port Power paraphernalia.

The event was held in the brand new Adelaide Convention Centre building, and we must say, it was well worth the roadworks! Personally we think this is a great, professional venue for fashion shows and look forward to seeing more there in the future.
