London Cabaret Club: ‘The Queen of Roses’ Launch Night

Melissa Zahorujko and Kristen Byass Launch Night London Cabaret Club The Queen Of Roses.

Last Thursday night we attended a lively launch party for London Cabaret Club‘s brand new immersive cabaret experience ‘The Queen Of Roses’. It was a night that had us feeling like true Londoners, celebrating all things British with a performance that took us on a tour through the lives of Queen Elizabeth I, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II.

Upon entering, we took to the red carpet to have our photo taken with some fab show girls and the cutest, most well behaved little doggo. Passing through, we came across actors in costume covering every corner of the vicinity, popping out to surprise us, inviting us to dance and offering us beverages. That’s what we particularly loved about this launch party: the event was theatrically interactive from the very beginning to the very end.

Sipping on Negronis and Beau Joie Champagne, we made our way to the sophisticated lounge room where we were treated to a little live jazz music and floating canapes. The room was totally bustling by then, with guests mixing and mingling in a lush space that had this unmistakable sense of old school class about it. We almost felt as if we were tucked away in a cosy speakeasy bar sometime during the 20’s era. If anything, London Cabaret Club had done an incredible job of creating those intimate vibes, making this show perfect for a date night or anniversary celebration.

Mel and Kristen, fab showgirls and the CUTEST doggo!

Heading to the main event inside The Bloomsbury Ballroom, we were greeted by a classy set up, with tables set up for a fine dining experience and a stage central to the room. There, we were seated to some warm bread and butter and, of course, more champagne. The main event was about to begin and we couldn’t wait.

Without giving too much away, the show was in itself a totally mesmerising experience. The wonderful host chatted with each table and even at a point let Mel wear his top hat for a second (she was pretty happy about that, as proven by her numerous Instagram stories). In between shows, we popped over to the bar to chat with more guests and perhaps indulge in a shot or two. The performance as a whole offered absolutely everything: sparkling era costumes, sexy burlesque, stunning acrobatics, a raunchy bath tub routine, energetic group and couple dance routines, and overall an enchanting story line. Ooh, and let’s not forget the delightful three course gourmet meal!

All in all, we would recommend this show for many special occasions in life. Hen’s night, first date, birthday celebration, you name it! Oh, and it’s the perfect choice for tourist looking for a night out too; not only are you getting an amazing theatrical experience and dinner, you’re also learning a little bit about the British monarchy while you’re at it. There’s so much life and such great vibes that we’d like to say we would definitely come back to see the show again.

We also got a cute little feature in the promo vid… check us out at 0:18!
