In the lead up to Adelaide Fashion Festival, fashion bloggers and influencers were invited to take part in Adelaide’s very first Myer Centre Style Challenge presented by Little Lion PR.
The evening event took place at the display suite in North Terrace’s modern and stylish Realm Adelaide, with rounds upon rounds of indulgent canapes and bubbles to go around.
Myer Centre stylist Filip Odzak hosted the evening, breaking down the rules of the competition for us as we chowed down on dainty prawn sandwiches and cherry tomato-boccocini skewers. We were given just under an hour to pick three outfits to fit in one of the current trend categories:
- Smashing Prints
- Spring Romance
- Statement Making Slogans
- 80’s Revived
- Spring Racing
As a dynamic duo, we entered the competition in full force playing with our chosen categories: Smashing Prints, Spring Racing, Spring Romance and 80’s Revived. Choosing from various Myer Centre traders such as Myer, Review, Ally Fashion, JR Surf, Jacquie E, Adelaide Vintage, Temt, Katies, My Size and MCL Fashion, we got frantically rummaging to pick out the most bold outfits we could find. Everyone knows it’s very Adelaidian for the both of us to match – even unintentionally at the best of times – so we thought we’d also try play that to our advantage.
