Myer X VAMFF

This season Myer partnered with VAMFF to create a unique show held within the sacred halls of Myer’s huge Bourke Street Mall store. The face of Myer Jennifer Hawkins opened the show and set the path for dozens of other fashion-clad models to saunter through the racks and showcase new autumn/winter collections to be stocked at Myer.

Popular Australian labels like Acler, Cue, Finders Keepers, Morrison, sass & bide, Scotch & Soda and TY-LR were styled on the runway to give guests an idea of how to wear new season trends.

Oversized statement coats dominated the runway in colours like camel, mustard and grey, steering away from traditional black. Dresses made from lace and lazercut material were popular, with high necks and long sleeves contrasting with peek-a-boo fabrics.

Statement accessories were a must, with gold chains draping from sunglasses, fur scarves hanging from shoulders and large beanies and hats perched on heads.

In mens fashion, muted colours of burnt orange, mustard and olive green were the palette of the season. Maroon blazers and overcoats are still staples of the winter wardrobe, as is the ever-reliable oversized parka.

The show was a great way to showcase all the versatile winter pieces Myer has this season, and brought new meaning to ‘shop the runway’ as guests were able to immediately peruse the collections from the show on all the racks around the runway.
