When we learnt about Sacet and the ethos behind the brand, this simply made their designs even more attractive to us. Sacet are on a mission to move the jewellery industry towards a more sustainable approach. From what we know about designer jewellery already, we know it is ridiculously expensive. However, what many of us don’t know is that the prices aren’t so high because of materials or production cost. Rather, it’s because of a steep profit margin, mainly benefitting the business.
With fair pay and working conditions taking a back seat to profit, this is just the way the industry has been for decades. So, in considering this, Sacet have aimed to lower their profit margins in order to achieve more affordable prices and, of course, an ethical work environment for their employees.
Ethics aside, we had an absolute ball browsing through all their gorgeous designs online! We were so excited to be collaborating with a jewellery brand of such high quality. Stunning diamond rings and matching sets caught our eye, as well as the statement pendants with polished gemstones. We. Want. Everything.
Kristen picked out the Marque Double Ring in Silver and the Belle Mix and Match Egyptian Stud Earrings. The double ring is a trendy, fashion-forward design crafted using 100% recycled silver. The earrings are a classic teardrop style with a modern twist. The mix and match aspect make them a little something different to the norm.
Mel picked out the Belle Pink Amethyst Oval Ring in Gold and the Belle Branch Stud Earring. The designer of both pieces, Charlotte, honed her craft at esteemed jewellers Garrard and Swarovski. And the talent shows! We fell in love with this ring at first site – it is such a wearable piece. The earrings are also totally statement and are the perfect pick for a date night or special event.
