Photo Diary: Aus Fashion Labels celebrates 10 thriving years

Earlier this week, we made our way over to the Adelaide Fashion Festival program launch alongside photographer Noora Mehraein of NKM Images to capture all the style and glamour of the evening. Alongside the launch of the AFF 17 program, the night was also a celebration of fashion powerhouse Australian Fashion Labels (AFL) in their 10th year of thriving business.

Suitably held at the Art Gallery of South Australia, the launch showcased live models dressed in AFL brands Finders Keepers the Label, Keepsake the Label, C/MEO Collective, The Fifth Label and Jaggar. Each separate installation artistically presented a different label, decorating the models with flowers, fruits and ceramic pottery in a stunning amalgamation of fashion and art.

We particularly loved the way in which the installations were set in a way that sought to symoblise the individual characteristics and style of each brand. The Fifth Label – known for its basics – had models standing all in the same position in rows, all styled with a simple split part and long, straight hair: a vision representative of ‘basic’. Keepsake the Label is known for its feminine garments, flowing silhouettes and romantic lace, thus, the installation was appropriately decorated with flowers with the models holding softer, more dreamy expressions.

Kristen and Mel created a vlog of the night here, while Noora snapped a gorgeous photo diary of the live models which you can find below.
