Photo Diary: Taking on the Summer Heat with Kato Swim

PHWOARRRR. It’s been scorching hot here in Adelaide this week… and what better time than now to whip out our fabulous new swimsuits by Kato Swim?

These 35+ degree days have been absolutely screaming for a beach escape, so we decided to pack up our things and head to Southport Beach for a little seaside relaxation. For the trip, we picked out a couple of cute togs from Kato Swim; an independent local swimwear brand offering fun summer pastels and prints.

The up and coming brand launched just this summer and is being designed by local girl boss Kate Campbell, also owner of Coltish Boutique on King William Road. “I started Kato Swim out of my love for creativity and quality design,” explains Kate, “I want to create fresh, bold, unpredictable swimwear that reflects the Australian beach life and the women who swim in it.”

“I like to work with strong colours and one-off prints so the end result is striking… My pieces aim to flatter a variety of body shapes.”

And that they do. With Kristen and Mel holding distinctly different body shapes, we were both able to find super cute pieces that made us feel comfortable to frolick carefree around the beach, void of any worry about how we looked.

The full Kato Swim range is exclusively stocked at Coltish Boutique, which is located at 165 King William Road, or can be purchased online at www.coltish.com.au.

Kristen wears Anika Deep V Neck One Piece – Watermelon ($149 $89.40) and Mel wears Blake Aloha One Piece – Maui ($149).
