We’re not sure if we can ever remember a time where the 80s wasn’t having influence on our modern culture. It was a time of fun, bright fashion, the beginning of the era of the supermodel and an iconic time for music production. High street label Reserved have taken inspiration from this crazy decade to create their new campaign, featuring none other than one of the biggest 80s icons, Cindy Crawford.
It’s fitting that Reserved have chosen Cindy to front the campaign, as at the start of the 80s she was just entering high school, and by the end she was modelling in New York. The campaign video sees Cindy dancing and posing through a fantastical, pastel suburbia, before entering a movie set and, finally, a high-powered photoshoot.
The collection boasts a number of coloured power-suits, this season’s hottest trend. Matching denim and corduroy sets are also stealing our hearts, as are the colour-blocked sport luxe jackets and pants. Accessories come in the form of pink bum bags, silver-heeled shoes and colourful neckerchiefs.
To launch the new campaign, Reserved created a two-day activation with Twelve A.M on Old Street in London. We popped past and spent a good few hours playing around on the sets from the video and drinking some of the best coffee we’ve had in London so far, courtesy of Shoreditch Grind.
