Rundle Place has put together a sexy, sleek ‘Selfie Set’ for all those social media fanatics out there who – let’s face it – probably don’t need another excuse to take a selfie. But here it is.
Set up on level one with shiny, black reindeers standing majestically alongside a velvet red sleigh, the Rundle Place Santa Selfie Set is sure to beat any conventional photobooth with Santa this holiday season. You get a fun box of props and accessories with Santa hats and reindeer ears to play with. And even better, it’s totally free.
Just take a picture with your smartphone, hashtag ‘santaselfie’ on instagram and you get an instant greeting card printed on the spot for you and your friends to take home. It’s a pretty damn neat marketing campaign, that’s for sure. Kudos to you, Rundle Place.
Last Wednesday, the set was introduced with a fancy fashion launch showcasing a range of outfits on-trend from Rundle Place retail outlets. The models were dressed head-to-toe in popular brands Ted Baker, Portmans and Australian favourite, Country Road, striking poses on the brand new selfie set.
And what about sitting on Santa’s lap? Hands up who would rather pose with a bunch of sexy models than sit on the lap of some random, old man pretending to be Santa Claus. I know I would.
VIP’s were treated to drinks and gourmet snacks in between fashion displays. It was definitely a rather different way to set up fashion show, a little more casual and laidback, but a hundred percent fun.
This certainly isn’t a first for Rundle Place in terms of marketing genius. They’ve held plenty of exciting campaigns in the past couple of years; think giant gingerbread houses and a life-size chocolate wardrobe. It’s safe to say we can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for 2015!
