Styling Paige Rowe A/W16

Local designer Paige Rowe launched her fabulous A/w16 collection just last week, showcasing a whole lot of fur, leather and layering. The designs include jackets, neckpieces and pants all in leather, as well as some statement fur vests and shrugs for those chilly winter days. Staple items include some hi-lo tops, button-up shirts, sweaters and long-sleeve tops all made with the highest quality fabrics.

Given the chance by Be Young PR to style outfits using Paige Rowe’s new pieces, we set out to create the ultimate 2016 Winter look-book. Our first look comprises of a strong print and leather combo, pairing a pastel pink, blue and black large leopard print on a chiffon button-up shirt with Paige’s ever so comfy and stylish leather pants. The outfit looks great with the shirt both tucked and untucked! These leather pants are a particular favourite as they stretch for comfort and ease-of-wear, and can be dressed up with heels for a night out in town or dressed down for a more casual, everyday look.

For the second look, Mel wore the Alden Tunic made with stretch silk and paired it with the Zebulon Jeans made with stretch denim and a leather trim in ellery print. The ellery print is quite a statement look, and is available in the Colton Jacket as well. It’s worth noting that each of Paige’s prints have been designed exclusively for her brand and cannot be seen elsewhere. Again, the pants stretched for comfort and ease-of-wear… we can’t get over how comfortable the Paige Rowe pants are! The tunic comes in nero, chalk and rubin print, and is a trendy hi-lo cut. The split at the back allows for an elegant and extremely flattering shape elongating down the hips and legs, giving that distinctly hourglass figure. This top is both wearable in hot and cold weather, and is great for layering with jackets, sweaters and other tops from Paige’s collection!

We added the black Scanlon Collar made with cashmere to change the look from everyday class to evening glam. This divine collar adds a little somethin’ somethin’ to any winter outfit!

We also love the way Jaki Woods styled her first outfit with a dainty, thin ribbon choker and black leather bag. She chose to wear a Paige Rowe black, stretch cotton shirt with a slight hi-lo cut to combine with Paige’s Turner Pant in a stand-out reptilian print. These ankle-cut pants are made of the softest materials and, yet again, excel in comfort!

Jaki also styles Paige Rowe black on print.

For our next set of looks, we went entirely monochromatic (a favourite ‘colour’ palette of ours incase you hadn’t noticed yet). Kristen layered the black Lucille Dress in leather/wool with the leather Spartan Neckpiece in rose gold and nero and the natural fur Ruby Vest in chalk and nero. This look screams 1920’s glam with a modern twist and is the perfect winter evening outfit. Perhaps too glam for a night out in town, we’d recommend wearing this fancy get-up to a 21st birthday celebration, a launch party or media event, or really any kind of classy affair as this outfit is certain to turn heads.

Mel went for a more corporate get-up this time, wearing a staple hi-lo cut long sleeved top (Zane Tunic) in white and the Zebulon Jeans again, this time in nero colour. She also paired her outfit with the Spartan Neckpiece to add some glitz to an otherwise casual outfit. Paige offers a range of conservative cut pants and tops that are just perfect for the workplace, but also stylish with statement items for any kind of outing. We particularly love the breathable fabrics in which these pieces have been made, making them interchangeable between winter and summer.

Our final looks consisted of playful patterns to contrast the muted colours of our last outfits. Kristen wore the Alden Tunic in nero (from Mel’s first outfit), but tied it up at the back split for a different look. The Turner Pant in the pastel pink/blue leopard print was a winning combination with the tunic and again, the outfit deemed interchangeable between seasons due to the breathable nature of the fabrics.

The Paige Rowe A/W16 collection also offers gorgeous accessories, as seen above with the fur shrug and neckpieces. Mel chose to style the Calder Snood accessory with the help of Paige Rowe herself in her final look, wearing it with the Alden Tunic and Turner Pant both in a eye-catching reptilian print. This combination was a self-professed favourite of Paige’s, as she told us she was even considering wearing it to her launch parade! We can see why, this outfit is inherently “look-at-me” and is bound to make you stand out in any crowd. Adding the black snood helped to break up the pattern, and looked great with a classic pair of strappy black heels. It is evident that two-piece print on print is trending right now and we can’t see it dying off anytime soon. Paige Rowe has so many great, unique prints in this collection that have been designed exclusively for her brand, so pairing her print items is most definitely going to get you an original look.

Make sure you hop onto http://www.paigerowe.com.au/ to view the rest of her funky collection and be sure to book a styling session with Paige if you require any fashion advice! Layering is set to be huge this winter, but can be extremely difficult to pull off at the best of times (even the most fashionable of ladies struggle with it). Seeing as Paige Rowe is quite the layering queen, booking a styling session is surely going to be beneficial for you and the versatility of your wardrobe.
