While Adelaidians were jealously scrolling and double tapping on the thousands of Instagram posts from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia in Sydney (and counting down the days until the 2017 Adelaide Fashion Festival in October) we stumbled upon some exciting news.

Aussie supermodel Jennifer Hawkins will be appearing at the 2017 Adelaide Fashion Festival, marking three years since her last visit to the City of Churches, as reported this morning by the Adelaide Advertiser.

With her career as a supermodel taking off after becoming the first Australian Miss Universe winner in 2004, Jen has since graced the covers of pretty much every fashion magazine, has become a well-known TV presenter and host with gigs including Australia’s Next Top Model and has fronted countless campaigns as a brand ambassador for companies such as Myer and Mount Franklin.

Jen may be know for her pretty face, but she certainly has the brains to boot, making her a great role model for young women. Also an entrepreneur, Jen is the founder of several successful companies including swimwear label CoziJBronze tanning products and Sesion Tequila.

Myer have also joined the 2017 Adelaide Fashion Festival as a sponsor and will hold official AFF events in their CBD department store throughout the October festival.

Having previously flaunted Adelaide designers including Paolo Sebastian and Acler, Jen will surely fall in love with what Adelaide’s talented designers have to offer this year.

The announcement of Jennifer Hawkins attending the Adelaide Fashion Festival follows the successful visits of other big names in previous years including Canadian Supermodel Coco Rocha, Aussie darling Danni Minogue, Australian Vogue Fashion Editor Pip Moroney and stylist to the stars Nicole Boynton-Hines.

The 2017 Adelaide Fashion Festival runs from October 11th-15th.
