Last week we were invited to attend the press showing for the launch of Tag Heuer‘s new 2017 collection in Sydney. Held at the Tag Heuer Boutique, we shared canapes and champagne as we revelled over the beauty of the new collection, admiring the watches’ intricate skeleton faces and diamond-encrusted exteriors.
The luxury Swiss watch brand is one of elegance, sophistication and stamina, offering a range of quality watches that truly stand the test of time. Being endorsed by a huge list of famous athletes, sportsmen, models, actors and musicians, Tag Heuer boasts a name that is one much sought after in the world of watches. Their campaign #Don’tCrackUnderPressure is a “tribute to both the brand’s and its ambassadors’ determination, illustrating the pressure of sports and the intense concentration required of athletes in view of the fact that the practice of sports is more mental than physical,” according to the Tag Heuer website.
The new 2016/2017 Tag Heuer catalogue showcases an expansion on the Heuer-01 Carrera range: a classic yet contemporary range inspired by car racing and the interface design of a car’s dashboard. At the launch, we examined the range with a mini magnifying glass, exploring the details of the intricate skeleton faces. One of the Tag Heuer representatives was even set up at a watch-making station, allowing guests to look at the makings of the watches’ interior. Pulling apart its insides and looking at the workings behind every little detail, we realised just how much watch-making is truly a work of art!
The catalogue also shows the connected smartwatch, the new Heuer-02 Tourbillon and the Heuer Collection, which includes the Monza, Carrera and Monaco heritage models. The 16/17 Ladies Collection offers a range of Tag watches that are a little less chunky on the wrist, parading classy features such as rose gold embellishments, mother-of-pearl faces and diamonds.
