The Gully’s New Sparkling Bar

The Gully Public House and Garden, also known as home of Adelaide’s most impressive beer garden, has launched a new bar to add to the multiple options already available.

The Yellowglen Sparking Bar boasts a number of delicious cocktails created using Yellowglen’s sparkling wine range, using ingredients like cucumber, mint and liquors like Galliano Vanilla to compliment the base wine.

To accompany the sparkling cocktails, new summer menu options have been added at The Gully. Offering delicious options like a grilled haloumi salad with watermelon, Tasmanian salmon fillet with tempura vegetables and a decadent milk chocolate panna cotta, it’s pretty hard to pick whether to be more excited over; the cocktails or the food.

Every cheese lover melts over a good bit of grilled haloumi, and the crunchy tabouli style quinoa and refreshing watermelon offset the saltiness off the haloumi and provided a refreshing starter to the meal.

The Tasmanian salmon fillet was a gorgeous pink and pulled apart easily to be coated in the accompanying summery mango salsa. Presenting the dish with tempura vegetables gives the dish another element of texture and adds something a little different rather than the standard roasted vegetables.

The finale, a milk chocolate panna cotta, is one definitely recommended to be shared with friends. Though the serving size isn’t overly huge, the richness of the dessert means you only need a few mouthfuls to satisfy any chocolate cravings, if you can even fit it in after dinner.
