We can certainly vouch for this having experienced an exclusive preview of UberVINO just last week with two of the cast from Edinburgh-based theatre comany In Your Face Theatre. Being down in Adelaide for the first time and performing their show Trainspotting Live this Fringe Festival, we thought it only necessary to invite them on a wine tour to show them the best of what Adelaide has to offer.

On our trip, we were taken to three locations: Woodside CheeseThe Lane and Sidewood Estate. UberVINO has partnered up with these hot spots to offer their riders some fun deals – all of which we had the pleasure of experiencing – including a free bucket of golf balls to play with at Sidewood, a 2 for 1 Indulgence and Experience tasting at The Lane and 50% off of cheese packs at Woodside Cheese.

Starting our venture with UberVINO, we found ourselves seated in our kind of heaven, surrounding a table of cheese with the one and only artisan creator of Woodside Cheese herself, Kris Lloyd. Kris talked us through the various different cheeses on offer for tasting, including the glamorous classic Monet cheese and an exciting new raw milk addition she hopes to have available to purchase very soon! Each cheese held a level of complexity in flavour that made it difficult for us to choose a single favourite, but if we had to, we would choose the delicious Grace French Style Goat’s Cheese. It offers a lingering flavour that is both strong yet not overwhelmingly so and is moreish enough to entice you to finish the entire wheel (which is exactly what we did with ours when we got home).

The Lane was our next destination with UberVINO, and we couldn’t have been more excited to pay this beloved Hills winery a little revisit. Tully Challen was our knowledgeable host at The Lane, guiding us through the behind-the-scenes areas of winemaking action and into the basement where we would be given a sample of wine straight from the barrel. We were then guided into the restaurant for a tasting of the wines paired with some light refreshments. A typical frolick through the vineyards and a photoshoot later, our time was over at The Lane before we moved onto Sidewood Estate.

Everyone knows Sidewood to be the place of party, so by this point we were ready to get golfing and unwind a little. With a shimmering lake and rolling green hills as our view, we spent the rest of the day attempting to launch our golf balls into the hole from across the lake. A few more wines later and we piled back into our shiny silver Chrysler to begin our drive home back with UberVINO.
