Unfold Rundle Mall Launch Winter 16’

Some of the reasons why we love the new look ‘Unfold Rundle Mall’: 1) ‘Unfolding’ your wallet to Australian labels and local designers, 2) Engaging in a shopping experience with over 170 brands in one space, and; 3) Watching the latest trends gliding down the runway in Rundle Mall.

Over the weekend, we were invited to see the Autumn/Winter 16’ fashion parade in Rundle Mall, uncovering some of the key looks for this season and featuring some of the mall’s largest fashion houses.

I fell in love with the earthy tones of brown, beige, khaki and shades of grey that filled the runway during the show. Tamara Nicole is a stylist for Rundle Mall, with over 15 years experience in the fashion industry, showing through her image and vision of ‘Unfold Rundle Mall’. The lovely Samantha Dorning was responsible for being the stylist of the runway, creating some seriously stylish and significantly wearable looks. Her unique styling for this season focused on plenty of layering, with the theme based around a 70’s Bohemian style.

My personal favourite shining stars this season were the looks by Kookai and CUE for women. Patent leather and wool contrasted and complimented each other beautifully on the runway, but it was Country Road and Shades that presented some of my favourite looks for both women and men. They fashioned versatile simplistic pieces, which are essential in layering for this season! Similarly, Calibre and Jack London never disappoint, particularly in their ranges of wool-blended suits; I particularly adored the grey double breasted style blazer and matching pants.

Be sure to head over to Rundle Mall to get affordable, trendy pieces to complete your wardrobe for this season. You can find key looks from the AW16 runway in our gallery above!
