Vlog: Kangan students show us how to up-cycle clothing at Red Cross

Ahead of Kangan Institute’s ‘Rags to Runway’ show as part of Melbourne Fashion Week this year, we interviewed some of the participating students and former students on their up-cycled designs. The runway fundamentally promotes sustainable fashion while showcasing up and coming designer talent, and is certainly a fashion week fave for us!

The students came with us to the one of the Australian Red Cross op shops in Melbourne and picked up a few pieces that caught their eye. Watch our vlog to see how the students would up-cycle their chosen garments, and also to see more from the likes of eco-stylist Alex Van Os, fellow fashion blogger Le Blonde Fox and more.

Shopping at Red Cross retail outlets is like raiding your grandma’s old wardrobe, and whoever said it was uncool?! Let us show you why up-cycling is the hottest new fashion movement.
