With a focus on quality brews, conversation and comfort food, the Woodcroft Hotel provides you with a warm, cosy and Southern space divided into a bistro, barn bar, gaming room and a bottle shop. Located on Bains & Panalatinga Roads in Woodcroft, the pub is about a 30 minute, but worthy drive from Adelaide’s CBD.
Claiming to raise the bar on pub food, the American inspired hotel can offer a range of meals likely to leave you in a food coma while you enjoy the occasional live gig on the nearby stage. Beef Short Ribs, Crab Cakes, Texas T-Bone 500g and the Chargrilled Chicken Breast are what you can find on the Woodcroft Kitchen menu while the Philly Cheesesteak Sanga is a standout among the burger list. If you’d rather not venture from your favourite pub meals, you can also ask for your classics like fish and chips and chicken schnitzel.
Southern delights!
Bringing out a new and affordable cocktail menu, you can find your favourite go-to bourbon and whisky based drinks to some very Southern style cocktails like the Bacon Awakening (a personal favourite) consisting of Patron XO Café, Baileys and maple syrup along with bacon lining the rim of the glass. Coffee and bacon go hand in hand right? So why not have the two in one!
Ensuring the Southern theme is consistently carried through, other concoctions, which aren’t as innocent as their titles sound, include the Kentucky Belle with bourbon, Pimms, lemon juice, peach schnapps, passion fruit syrup and dry ginger ale, the Home Made Lemonade with bourbon, lemon juice, sugar syrup, mint leaves & soda water and the Southern Ice Tea with white rum, vodka, gin, lemon juice, unsweetened tea & sugar syrup. USA beer, international beer and cider also make a frequent appearance.
