Uncle Jack was created after finding a gap in the market for affordable, basic watches. Each watch created by Uncle Jack is modern, simple and devoid from gender-specification. Though the Melbourne-based company was founded only three years ago, they’ve rapidly grown to amass a following of 60k followers on Instagram, and their watches often sell out within hours after being released. Megan Gale even collaborated with them recently to create a stainless steel watch with part of the proceeds going towards Movember.
When Uncle Jack contacted us and offered to let us style a few of their watches, we were really excited to see how these androgynous watches would compliment our style. Kristen loved the sleek Black-Black, and Mel loved the casual look of the Tan-Black, which are both from Uncle Jack’s Leather Range. We were both also drawn to the waterproof Charlie watch from their NATO range, featuring a cream nylon strap and brushed rose-gold case for casual days spent by the beach.
What we loved about these watches is how comfortable they are to wear, and how durable they feel. These are watches that we can wear while running around all day without worrying about whether we might damage them, and they’re minimalist enough that they can be dressed up or down. Uncle Jack also has a few individual strap options, letting you customise your watch depending on your mood and outfit.
