The Blogger Programme Hangout at LFW

Fashion Week is a funny time of year. On Instagram it looks like a mixture of breathtaking runways, fabulous parties and endless champagne, but in reality, we’re mostly inhaling Tesco sandwiches and surviving off complimentary coffees in foyers. While running in-between the aforementioned breathtaking runways, of course.

Throughout the week there are some havens that open up to provide us with nourishment and a place to relax, one of those being The Blogger Programme’s London Fashion Week Hangout on Saturday. With more snacks than you can wave a stick at and plenty of Instagrammable spots to hang out in, it was easily one of the highlights of our Fashion Week.

Plaid coat from Topshop

How cute is this pink plaid coat from Topshop?

First stop was the top floor where we found a Nicky Clarke beauty bar and the Topshop installation, where racks of their new season collection were waiting for us to play around with. Coloured faux furs, retro plaids and wild prints all fought for our attention, and we made friends with other bloggers as we all took turns to try pieces on and take snaps of each other.

Making our way downstairs we came across the Ardell lash station where we found the brand do way more than just lashes. With fun products like dual wanded mascara, gorgeous matte eyeshadow palettes and silky eyeliners, we were totally in our element swatching all the different pieces. If you’re like us and didn’t realise Ardell have a whole makeup range, make sure you head into Sally Beauty soon to try out the products.

Fruity aromas had us trailing from the Ardell station to Shay & Blue, a luxury UK fragrance brand who are launching a unisex range exclusively with ASOS. After smelling the four new perfumes, Mel decided ’88 Pineapples’ was her fave, which as you may have guessed is a pineapple scent, while Kristen went for the classic ‘Voulez Vous’, a vanilla fragrance.

Who else is lovin’ a lil leopard print this season?

We’re both pretty useless at braiding, so when we spotted The Braid Bar we immediately made a beeline for it. Going for some classic double dutch braids, or ‘The Naomi’ as The Braid Bar called it, our lovely stylist Corinne whipped our hair into shape and had us looking put-together in no time.

Heading downstairs for coffee, we lined up at the counter only to get to the front and be handed a coconut filled with a rum cocktail from Mahiki. There are definitely worse things that have happened to us than getting a coconut cocktail instead of coffee, if anything it was definitely an upgrade. Snacking on candy from Candy Kittens, Pop Chips which seemed to be in abundance everywhere we looked (and we’re not complaining) and Krispy Kremes from the TBP donut wall while drinking our cocktails, we were super pumped to see what the rest of Fashion Week would hold.
