Ciao Ciao @ The Producer’s Hotel

Think local wine, wood fired pizza and fresh Italian gelato. If you are salivating at the thought (like me), a trip McLaren Vale or a Mediterranean journey might be right up your alley.

Can’t afford it, or don’t have the time? Do not fret. Imagine having a taste of McLaren Vale without having to leave the big smoke. Well, it is your lucky day because the iconic Coriole Wines are coming to Adelaide!

On the 5th and 6th of February they are bringing a ‘pop-up’ cellar door to Adelaide (YAY)!

You may have attended the last pop-up cellar door at The Producer’s with Down The Rabbit Hole Wines, featuring a magical tea party-like fitout and tasty Spanish tapas. If you thought that night was amazing (we sure did), then you are bound to love this one.

The event, called Ciao Ciao, will be held at the historic Producer’s Hotel and promises to take you straight to what feels like McLaren Vale in a venue that will be transformed into a Mediterranean Wonderland, reminiscent of Coriole’s very own cellar door.

Ciao Ciao, will give you a real taste of Italy. With Coriole wines, Thrift Shop Bar cocktails, Italian inspired eats, wood fired pizza and even a gelato stand, Ciao Ciao is guaranteed to leave your mouth watering. Your other senses won’t be neglected either, with live music to listen to, rustic décor to remind you of being at the winery itself and the aroma of freshly cooked pizza drifting through the air.

There will be complimentary tastings and entertainment, and the opportunity to purchase Coriole wine and an array of foods from the Italian kitchen. From Antipasto boards to affogato’s, Ciao Ciao definitely caters for all appetites.

The Thrift Shop Bar will also be contributing to the evening, with their custom cocktails made with all Australian ingredients. Australian Spritzes created with Coriole Prosecco is among one of the delicious beverages on the list of those you must try.

Coriole prides itself on their Shiraz. For 150 years, Shiraz has been the greatest tradition of McLaren Vale, and with the Coriole Shiraz being 100% Estate grown, it is no wonder that the Shiraz is Coriole’s flagship variety. Coriole was founded in 1967 but the Lloyd family, and is still owned and managed by them too. With so many decades of experience under their belt, the Lloyd family truly know what makes a good wine. So trust them when they say, try the Shiraz. Don’t believe them? Well come along and experience the complimentary wine tastings for yourself and be prepared to be blown away.
