When Cristina Tridente of Couture+Love+Madness (CLM) contacted us about collaborating for a blogger’s photoshoot in the lead up to Adelaide Fashion Festival (AFF), to say we were beyond excited was, well, an understatement.
Cristina has always been one of our favorite local designers and every time we get the chance to wear her intricately designed garments, it makes us feel a sense of effortless glamour and style.
Naturally, we couldn’t wait for her Autumn Winter 2017 collection, ‘NuitNoire’, to be unveiled, especially seeing as we’d be some of the first to get a sneaky peek before the collection’s debut at AFF.

‘NuitNoire’ stands for ‘Dark Night’ in French, alluding to the streets of Paris after midnight – dark, brooding and ever so moody, yet still so romantic in its own right. The collection truly highlights this sense of dark romance, featuring deep burgundy, intricate lacing and textural black velvet.

We were photographed in the rooftop bar at Mayfair Hotel matching in black velvet pieces, with Mel wearing a structural, layered dress and Kristen in a bodice and pant two-piece. The pieces featured unique islets studded sporadically across the hem, and a strapless top with strong boning to keep the pieces in place.

Cayleigh from Of Style and Substance, Tess of Holloblog and Jasmin Ilic joined in the fun each wearing their own stylish CLM design, with the group of us looking like something straight out of Gossip Girl. Each outfit was styled with a pair of statement tassel earrings from Deux Earrings.
