Last Friday, an exciting new flash store targeting women of all shapes and sizes opened on Level 1 of Adelaide Central Plaza. The locally owned business, Revoque, is run by the lovely Head Designer, Danica Ryan and aims to sell stylish clothing covering a broader size range than that of most brands. Featuring beautiful shades of pastel purple and blue, with signature use of white mesh material, there are some real statement pieces amongst Danica’s summery collection of dresses.
“It became obvious to me that there was a lack of on-trend clothing for women with curves… So I decided to create a fashionable brand that is tailored to women who range from size 8 – 16,” Danica says. Her line of clothing is designed exclusively within Australia, using quality materials to fit comfortably whilst also complimenting a woman’s curves.
The official Revoque launch gave VIP guests the chance to preview the line at the gorgeous store before being open to public access. With drinks, deluxe chocolates and light antipasto refreshments catered by Hotel Richmond, guests were treated to a relaxing evening and even got the opportunity to chat with the designer about her collection and hopes for the future.
The store itself was presented perfectly, with pastel dresses lined up against cream walls under a soft, yellow lighting and complimented by the surrounding white, soy candles made by local candle-making brand, Belash. And let us tell you, those candles were to die for. They were the first and last thing you could smell when inside the store – a great addition indeed. Another Adelaide brand, Accents Homewares and Gifts, added some character to the store with some cute, matching accessories such as fascinators, jewellery and absolutely adorable canvas clutches which will surely be top sellers.
Danica is already in the process of developing her winter designs, thinking about heavily contrasting the colour scheme of her light-coloured summer collection with a darker winter collection, featuring deep, red velvet for a glamorous touch.
