Emma Evans hosts ‘Fearless’ High Tea

Incredible CF Mummy Emmah Evans shared her inspiring story about life with cystic fibrosis at her ‘Fearless’ High Tea this weekend. Hosted by Channel 10’s Rebecca Morse and held in the Intercontinental Hotel’s Grand Ballroom, the event was part of Emmah’s #FACEYOURFEARS4CURE4CF Campaign. Her goal is to raise $5000 for The Cure4CF Foundation, and this achievement will be commemorated by Emmah and her Husband Nick facing their ultimate fear, shark cave diving.

Emmah’s infectious personality filled the room when she spoke about her journey, being given up for adoption at just a few weeks old, finding her biological family by accident and her struggles with continuously being bullied throughout school.

Despite this Emmah has always been determined not to let CF control her life.

“I would go out clubbing with my IV needle in my arm and the bag stuffed in my clutch. It is what it is, you can’t live life with regrets.”

After winning Girlfriend Magazine’s ‘Girlfriend of the Year’ in 2005, Emmah used this opportunity to speak out and share her experiences. She has continued to inspire those around her, speaking at the One Young World global leadership forum and is now The Cure4CF Foundation’s Cystic Fibrosis Ambassador.

“Here I am, this is me. I have CF, what are you going to do about it?” Emmah stated unapologetically.
