Wednesday evening, we stepped into Mövenpick on Leigh Street and were spoiled with a lush, Japanese garden-inspired set-up, featuring candle lit booth seating and miniature zen gardens as table centrepieces. Mövenpick had invited us in to celebrate the launch of their brand new Green Tea Matcha Waffle Cone, preparing us with our very own little zen space to relax and enjoy the green tea goodness.
The Matcha Waffle Cone is delightfully sweet and crispy, heralding a luxurious emerald-green colour that is ridiculously Instagram worthy, might we add. We tried our very own cone with the Mango and Strawberry Sorbet; the rich orange and pink looked great alongside the green in pictures… oh, and it tasted great, too!
Mövenpick collaborated with Vanilla Zulu’s Executive Chef, Mel Townsend, to create this delicious new cone. “The Matcha Waffle cone is subtle in taste,” Mel describes. “It is especially scrumptious with Mövenpick’s White Chocolate, Mango Sorbet and Blackcurrant & Cream flavours.”
Who knew a Green Tea flavoured cone would work so well with so many different flavours?
